Aaron Bass and James Wilson are passionate physical therapists based in Holly Springs, North Carolina. Both earned their Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Campbell University in 2020.
James and Aaron attended rival undergraduate schools—Aaron at North Carolina State University and James at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. This friendly rivalry is even reflected in the colors of the AIR logo!
Aaron and James embrace active, goal-driven lifestyles. Whether it’s training for a half marathon, lifting weights, or tackling yardwork, they understand the value of discipline, self-motivation, and a supportive community to achieve personal goals.
While having weights would be helpful, the AIR plans are created to be done in the comfort of your own home with little to no equipment required. For exercises that require using some sort of weight, any household items of similar weight can be used.
The plans will take on average 8-16 weeks. The beginning of each phase has a description that details the expected time for each phase to take and criteria for when progressing to the next phase is recommended.
Generally, the Recovery phase is 3x/day, the Restore phase is 1-2x/day, and the Reinforce phase is 2-4x/week. The beginning of each phase has a description that details how many times per day or per week the exercises need to be completed. As the phases get more difficult, frequency will decrease.
Most of the exercises in the AIR plans include regressions that can be used if exercises are too difficult or painful. Additionally, the education tab will show an “Exercise Modification” video that will instruct you on how to modify an exercise when it is too difficult or painful.
